After being involved in a altercation with a newspaper photographer, five members of the Rolling Stones party including Kick Jagger and Keith Richards are stopped at the Green Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island and charged with assault and misdemeanors and taken to jail. They were in route to Boston for a concert. Fearing a riot, Boston Mayor Kevin White calls the Governor of Rhode Island and request they be released on bond. They are eventually released, but arrive 4 hours late. |
